Work Environment

The role is performed entirely onsite at our well-equipped outpatient office, where you will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, maintaining a manageable schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance. Our state-of-the-art facility includes advanced therapeutic equipment, private treatment rooms, and areas specifically designed for functional rehabilitation exercises. You will interact with a diverse team of orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and athletic trainers, fostering a collaborative treatment atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sports Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your primary duties will include:

• Creating personalized rehabilitation plans tailored to the unique needs of athletes recovering from orthopedic surgeries and various sports injuries.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients presenting with sports-related injuries such as ligament tears, fractures, sprains, and strains.
• Implementing effective treatment interventions, which may include manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and progressive strengthening programs.
• Designing and facilitating sports rehabilitation and injury prevention programs tailored to the specific demands of each athlete.
• Providing patient education focused on injury prevention strategies, sport-specific conditioning, and recovery techniques.
• Collaborating closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers, and performance coaches to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintaining precise documentation and progress reports using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse group of athletes ranging from amateur to elite competitors who seek recovery from sports-related injuries. The patients often display a variety of conditions, including acute injuries and chronic pain syndromes, allowing for a dynamic and fulfilling work experience. You will play a critical role in their rehabilitation journey, impacting their athletic performance and overall well-being.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of two years of experience in sports physical therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, or outpatient physical therapy settings.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or an advanced Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of sports injuries, performance enhancement training, and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.

Preferred Experience

While the above qualifications are mandatory, experience in advanced sports rehabilitation methodologies or participation in continuing education courses related to orthopedic rehabilitation and sports physical therapy will be viewed favorably.
