Senior Case Administrator

Our client, a leading organization in the financial regulation sector, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Case Administrator for a six-month plus contract to join their team. As a Senior Case Administrator, you will be an integral part of the Office of Hearing Officers, supporting the efficient management of adjudicatory proceedings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, aligning successfully within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Pay Range: $60.00/hr W2

What's the Job?

• Oversee the docket for assigned cases, ensuring precise recordkeeping and timely electronic updates.
• Compile, organize, and prepare various legal documents, including orders and decisions.
• Monitor case deadlines and assist Hearing Officers in managing their electronic docket and caseloads effectively.
• Attends pre-hearing conferences and hearings to assist with the conduct of the hearing and the management of evidence.
• Act as a liaison between parties and Hearing Officers to facilitate pre-hearing motions and requests, serving as a knowledgeable resource for policies, procedures, programs, objectives, and operational functions.
• Proofread, cite-check, and verify facts in draft decisions, orders, and other documents, ensuring proper formatting and circulating final decisions to appropriate departments.
• Examines pleadings to ensure their accuracy and completeness; contacts attorneys or parties if submitted pleadings and other documents do not comply with procedures.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification are both required.
• Paralegal experience with litigation or securities-related background advantageous.
• Strong writing and legal research skills with experience navigating legal research, databases, site checking, with precise proofreading abilities.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of SEC and Client rules is helpful.
• Occasional travel is required to attend hearings; flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
