Nurse Practitioner

Join our team committed to delivering the highest quality health care services. We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner who is self-motivated, energetic, and proactive.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide primary health care services to individuals and their families in accordance with approved privileges.
2. Collaborate with physicians as defined by law.
3. Focus on health promotion, wellness, and disease prevention.
4. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions in partnership with patients.
5. Participate in coverage of same-day services, including urgent care, school-based care, and telehealth, with a minimum of 3 evening shifts per month depending on staffing needs.
6. Work with a physician and other advanced practice providers to care for a shared patient panel, diagnosing and managing conditions.
7. Involve patients in medical decision-making.
8. Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
9. Prescribe medications.
10. Maintain accurate medical reports and records.
11. Participate in continuing education to maintain clinical skills and licensure.
12. Attend all required meetings, including department meetings.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin.
• Completed a baccalaureate nursing program.
• Earned a master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner.
• Licensed for prescriptive authority in Wisconsin.
• Knowledge of social and cultural factors affecting community health service utilization.
• Ability to understand patient attitudes and needs, and develop program goals accordingly.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, patients, and community organizations.
• Ability to work under pressure, evaluate situations, and respond appropriately with tact.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and program information.
• Ensure program compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• Spanish speaking skills preferred.
