Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends Required (6 weekend shifts per schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill adult patients in an ICU setting at a rural critical access hospital
• Maintain expected ICU patient ratios of 1:2–3 depending on patient acuity
• Function in a bedside RN capacity; agency staff will not serve in the Charge Nurse role
• When ICU census is low, assist on the Med-Surg unit with a limited assignment of approximately 1–2 patients or support patient care activities as needed
• Demonstrate competency in caring for critically ill adult patients and comfort working in a rural hospital environment
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of prior ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC (hard stop requirement)
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a lower rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital environment
• Comfort with cross-unit support in a Med-Surg setting when ICU census is low
• Familiarity with a unified Charge Nurse model across multiple units
