Overview Job Description Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is seeking to hire a 4th–5th year associate to join the Litigation practice group in the Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, along with exceptional research, analytical, oral advocacy, and writing skills. The associate must have experience handling and managing all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, experts, motions, pretrial proceedings, trial, settlement, and related matters, as well as developing and maintaining strong business and client relationships. Location Los Angeles, California Responsibilities Handle and manage all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, experts, motions, pretrial proceedings, trial, settlement, and related matters. Develop and maintain strong business and client relationships. Work effectively under pressure, deliver high-quality work product, and manage junior attorneys to meet deadlines. Prepare witnesses for depositions, draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, and manage filing and service of pleadings. Qualifications Attorney must hold a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academic credentials. Must be a member of the California State Bar in good standing. Significant experience across all phases of discovery and related litigation activities. Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work product while mentoring junior attorneys. All inquiries should be held in strict confidence. Compensation The California pay range for this role is $310,000–$365,000, with the final offer amount dependent on the candidate’s skills and experience.
