Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Endogenous Biomarkers and Translational ADME

Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on discovering and validating endogenous biomarkers for cytochrome P450 enzyme activity to improve drug-drug interaction prediction. The role integrates clinical biomarker analysis, LC-MS/MS bioanalysis, mechanistic ADME studies, and quantitative modeling in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate candidate biomarkers across clinical datasets and investigate biological factors influencing performance
Determine how metabolic enzymes, transporters, and clearance pathways influence biomarker disposition
Develop quantitative relationships between endogenous biomarker responses and sensitive CYP substrate pharmacokinetics
Identify and mechanistically explain variability among candidate biomarkers
Advance scientific foundation for incorporating endogenous biomarkers into clinical drug-development decision-making

Requirements

PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, analytical chemistry, or related discipline
Strong hands-on research experience in bioanalysis, in vitro drug metabolism, or mechanistic ADME
Demonstrated ability designing, conducting, and interpreting hypothesis-driven research
Proficiency analyzing complex datasets and drawing scientifically supported conclusions
Published or presented peer-reviewed research contributions
Strong written and verbal communication skills for scientific manuscripts and presentations
Collaborative work capability in multidisciplinary research teams

Compensation: $64,600–$107,600 base annual salary; eligible for 7.5% bonus target
