As an Unarmed Security Officer at a leading educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM Tue: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM Wed: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM Thur: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, walkways, and surrounding perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem solving manner, following established site protocols. Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate campus contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision. Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and maintain professional communication with campus personnel and local responders when needed. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
