Supports breast center initiatives, including accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Performs high‑quality examinations per provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression. Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions with professionalism and compassion. Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of mammography and diagnostic radiological procedures (required). Ability to communicate effectively and work with people from diverse backgrounds (required). Ability to complete mammography exams in a timely manner even under stress (required). Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment (preferred). Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (required). Ability to make judgments on exam protocols and imaging techniques based on patient condition and provisional diagnosis (required). Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures (required). Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts to keep exposure levels ALARA (required). Perform 2D and 3D mammography exams (required). Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent (required). Associate degree (preferred). 1+ year of experience (required). Licenses and Certifications Registered Mammographer (RT(M)(ARRT)) (required). Registered Radiology Technologist (RT(R)(ARRT)) (required). Compensation Pay range: $26.08 – $48.50 per hour.
