As a Security Officer for Shopping Plaza - Part Time in Lynwood, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed08:00 AM - 04:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that could help to deter unauthorized access. Monitor access points and observe on‑site activity to help to deter trespassing, loitering, and/or other unwanted behavior while maintaining a professional presence. Prepare clear reports on observed activity, incidents, and/or property concerns, and support routine operations for a commercial real estate location as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership. Minimum Requirements: Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
