HVAC Sheetmetal Mechanic

Join Our Team as an HVAC Sheet Metal MechanicAre you a skilled HVAC professional with expertise in ductwork and airflow systems? We're looking for a motivated HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team and play a key role in installing, fabricating, and maintaining high-performing HVAC systems across a variety of projects.In this hands-on role, you'll bring projects to life by installing, modifying, and repairing ductwork and HVAC systems. You'll work from blueprints and specifications to ensure precise, code-compliant installations while collaborating closely with team members and other on-site trades.Your day-to-day may include:Reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specificationsMeasuring, laying out, and installing duct systems (TDF, snap lock, slide and drive, etc.)Installing flexible duct systems and sealing duct joints to prevent air leakageTesting airflow, adjusting dampers and registers, and supporting system balancingInstalling and servicing HVAC equipment such as air handling units and blower systemsInspecting, cleaning, and repairing existing duct systems and componentsTroubleshooting airflow issues, duct design challenges, and HVAC system performanceCoordinating with other trades to ensure seamless project executionEnsuring all work meets industry standards, building codes, and job specificationsLoading/unloading materials and maintaining a clean, safe job siteUsing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipmentWe're looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work:Vocational/technical training or completion of an HVAC apprenticeship preferred2+ years of HVAC or ductwork experience preferredStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, airflow principles, and duct designAbility to read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documentsProficiency with sheet metal tools and fabrication equipmentExperience with leak detection, sealing, and system balancing techniquesReliable transportationStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsStrong communication skills and a team-first mindsetAbility to work independently and help guide apprentices or helpersSafety-minded with knowledge of OSHA standards and proceduresPositive attitude and strong work ethicThis is an active, hands-on role requiring the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, standing, kneeling, and working on your feet for extended periods.
