Work Location Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231 Work Hours Various shifts available: Full-time, Part-time, PRN, Evenings, Nights Weekend and holiday requirements Qualifications Graduate of AMA‑approved Respiratory Care Program upon hire required CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency upon hire required RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 days required NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required if working in the NICU 90 days required Good verbal communication, good interpersonal skills, and computer experience Responsibilities Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family. Evaluate each patient using age‑ and diagnosis‑appropriate assessment tests and measurements. Apply appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care. Demonstrate competence in the performance of age‑appropriate patient assessment and individualize care based on age‑specific needs. Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient’s age and desire for treatment. Perform treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
