Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Sodecia - CL - Center Line, MI 48015Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $22.82 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Automotive OVERVIEW: Monitors manufacturing process to assure compliance to the IATF 16949 requirements and expectations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Using measuring instruments, gages, fixtures, and tools, checks first piece to approve start up, in process to monitor consistent compliance, and last piece (end of run review) to insure product meets requirements, documenting same. Verifies job instructions are followed for correct part number, quantity, and container usage. Must tag appropriately, non-conforming and in process parts and communicate same to appropriate manufacturing supervisor and tool room personnel. Perform sorting procedures for discrepant parts. Must instruct packers regarding methodology and quantity for each container. Complete all data/documentation required on the product using Standard Operating Procedures and quality system manual/procedures. Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications. Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications. OTHER FUNCTIONS Maintain all checking and testing equipment in good working condition. Perform audits as directed by immediate supervisor in compliance with Quality Assurance procedures. Perform any visual, physical, or mechanical checks/tests required to insure acceptable product is produced and shipped to customer. May be required to perform weld destruction/tear-down testing as directed. Will oversee and assist with containment requirements. Communicating with others workers - Providing information to supervisors, fellow workers, and subordinates. This information can be exchanged face-to face, in writing, or via telephone/electronic transfer. Getting information needed to do the job - observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Destructive test activity Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS The following are required to enable jobholders to perform the essential functions of the job. (1) Skills/Knowledge Must be familiar with stamping and assembly processes and know how to use inspection tools, gages, instruments/devices. Must be able to read, write and comprehend inspection procedures including blueprints and basic math including the metric measurement system. Information gathering - knowing how to find information and identifying essential information. Selective attention - the ability to concentrate and not be distracted while performing a task over a period of time. Problem sensitivity - the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. Product inspection - inspecting and evaluating the quality of products.

• 2) Experience/education A high school diploma with 2 year’s experience in stamping and welding.
• 3) Physical effort and dexterity Must be able to lift parts up to fifty (50) pounds and stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours/day).
• 4) Visual acuity, hearing, speaking Visual, speaking, and listening skills and/or communication skills are essential to this position.
• 5) Environment and scheduling Plant work environment with good lighting and creature comforts. Work assigned by shifts in line with manufacturing work schedules.
