Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and support maintenance operations within an industrial manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting equipment failures, coordinating preventative maintenance, and helping ensure maximum equipment uptime.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial machinery maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, and PLC-controlled equipment, along with the ability to lead maintenance activities and work closely with production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily maintenance activities for production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Perform and coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic components including pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and related systems.
• Repair and replace motors, bearings, gears, belts, chains, power transmission components, and other mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, including motors, wiring, controls, sensors, and basic PLC-controlled equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities with production leadership to keep equipment operating efficiently.
• Assist with machinery installations, equipment upgrades, and facility maintenance projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and according to company procedures.
• Provide guidance and technical support to maintenance personnel when troubleshooting complex equipment issues.

Strong ability to identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and controls-related equipment failures.

2. Hydraulics & Mechanical Maintenance

Hands-on experience repairing hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, valves, bearings, gears, motors, and heavy industrial machinery.

3. Electrical & PLC Knowledge

Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical and PLC-controlled production equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Previous lead, supervisory, or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and automated equipment is highly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while also leading and supporting a maintenance team.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment that may be hot, dusty, or dirty.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Daytona Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
