A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School-based Occupational Therapist to support students developmental and academic success near Galveston, TX. In this role, youll collaborate with educators and families to assess needs, develop interventions, and empower students to reach their full potential in an educational setting.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
• Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress reporting, and effective documentation practices
• Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
• Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills to support academic achievement

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and interpret evaluation data for students referred for OT services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions based on student needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and documentation
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services, both individually and in groups
• Train and collaborate with teachers, aides, and family members to support student goals
• Maintain accurate, timely records, and contribute to progress monitoring and compliance requirements
