Interim Head of Finance Systems, Tristate Area Key details Location: New York Tristate area Hybrid, typically two to three days per week onsite Contract, typically six to twelve months Extension and conversion to permanent are common Rate: [to confirm] About the role SystemsAccountants places interim Heads of Finance Systems into businesses across the Tristate area that need senior capability in place quickly. These engagements usually exist for one of three reasons. A permanent leader has left and the close cannot wait. A platform implementation is underway and needs someone senior to own it. Or a newly acquired business has to be brought onto the group\'s finance systems inside a fixed timeline. The engagement is defined by the problem, not by the seat. You are coming in to fix something specific and hand it over in better shape than you found it. Scope is agreed up front, the reporting line is to the CFO or Finance Director, and there is authority to make decisions rather than just recommend them. What you will be doing Taking ownership of the finance systems landscape from day one and stabilizing anything that is at risk in the current cycle Assessing the platform, the processes, and the team, and setting out what needs to change and in what order Running or rescuing a platform implementation, including partner management and delivery against a fixed timeline Integrating an acquired business onto the group finance systems within an agreed deadline Automating manual steps in the close and reporting cycle, and evidencing the time recovered Holding the Finance and IT relationship together while the permanent hire is found Documenting the environment properly and handing over to a permanent leader or an internal successor What we are looking for Ten or more years in finance systems, with time spent at Head of or VP level A track record delivering in interim or contract engagements, with a clear record of what was fixed and in what timeframe Ownership of at least one platform implementation or major integration from start to finish The ability to walk into an unfamiliar environment, work out what matters within two weeks, and start moving Comfort with a defined scope and a fixed end date, and the discipline to hand over cleanly Authorization to work in the United States, either as an employee of record or through your own LLC or corporation Nice to have Private equity backed experience, including sponsor and lender reporting Carve out or post acquisition integration experience under time pressure Availability at short notice How to apply For more information or to apply in confidence, contact David Tydesten at SystemsAccountants: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Systems Accountants
