Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Monitor and manage patients on continuous telemetry, identifying and responding to cardiac changes
• Administer and manage IV drip medications including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone
• Maintain patient assignments with ratios of up to 1:6–7 patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
• Complete required pre-start modules prior to assignment begin date

Required Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license or Compact RN license valid in Alabama — must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with vasoactive and cardiac drips (cardizem, tridil, amiodarone)
• Experience working in large healthcare facilities
• Permanent address must be at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced first-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Comfort managing higher patient ratios in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Experience caring for geriatric patient populations
