Seeking a Pre-Analytical Laboratory Technician I to support sample accessioning, sample management, data entry, order processing, and specimen storage in a high-volume laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, unpack, accession, and track incoming laboratory samples.
- Verify patient demographics, sample IDs, labeling, requisitions, and collection information .
- Enter and verify sample and patient information using LIMS and laboratory software.
- Perform order entry, order processing, insurance verification, and billing information review.
- Scan, organize, and maintain pathology reports, requisitions, and other laboratory documentation.
- Transcribe relevant medical information from pathology reports and associated documents.
- Maintain accurate sample records, specimen storage, and traceability.
- Perform equipment maintenance and document maintenance activities.
- Follow SOPs, GDP, ISO 15189, QMS, health and safety, and laboratory procedures .
- Identify and resolve sample or workflow issues and assist with workflow triage.
- Maintain clean and organized laboratory and common areas.
- Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives .
- Use laboratory equipment including microscopes, microtomes, pipettes, blades, and centrifugation equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation while meeting quality and productivity goals.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, changing laboratory environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer and email skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook .
- Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
- Ability to follow SOPs and laboratory regulations.
- Ability to work with laboratory samples and potentially hazardous materials.
