A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to work directly with a Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) student, fostering inclusivity and access to education in a vibrant learning environment.

In this role, you will deliver on-site interpretation at a Head Start center. Your expertise makes a meaningful difference in a student's daily experience and growth. The workday runs from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, totaling 30 hours each week—a schedule that offers both structure and work-life balance.

What you bring:

• Current certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience supporting DHH students within a school or educational program
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical interpreting standards
• Flexibility and patience to adapt to students' needs and classroom dynamics

What you'll do:

• Provide one-on-one interpretation for a DHH student during classroom instruction and activities
