Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetric and neonatal care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vitals, interpreting data to identify complications.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and procedural interventions such as inductions and epidurals.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and neonatal care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Kentucky license or Compact license required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based Labor and Delivery experience.
• Must hold current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with cesarean deliveries and neonatal procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend availability.
