We are committed to maintaining high medical integrity, fostering teamwork, and creating a welcoming environment for our residents, families, and staff.We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team.Position SummaryThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services focused on improving functional mobility, strength, and independence for our residents.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTreat patients as directed by the supervising Physical TherapistImplement treatment plans to restore and maintain functional mobilityDocument daily treatment notes and progress in accordance with state and facility standardsCommunicate patient progress, concerns, and outcomes with the rehab and interdisciplinary teamParticipate in care conferences as neededAssist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized therapy departmentEducate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and discharge planningComply with all federal, state, and facility regulations and policiesQualificationsGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant programActive California PTA license in good standingCurrent BLS certificationDemonstrated clinical competence and sound judgmentStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsExcellent communication skills with residents, families, and staffAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamSkilled nursing or geriatric experience preferredWork Environment / SettingInpatient Skilled Nursing FacilityLong-Term CareShort-Term Rehabilitation CenterGeriatric populationOne facility location onlyWhy Join Bakersfield Post Acute?Competitive PRN pay rangeSupportive rehab and leadership teamStable, well-respected skilled nursing facilityOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on resident outcomesWe are an equal opportunity employer.
