NJ Civil Litigation & Insurance Defense Attorney / Trial Attorney

CLM&C is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join our growing civil litigation and insurance defense practice.

We welcome candidates with 2–5 years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, plaintiff-side civil litigation, or defense-side civil litigation, as well as experienced trial attorneys seeking meaningful courtroom exposure, strong mentorship, and long-term professional growth. Insurance defense experience is preferred but not required.

From day one, attorneys are entrusted with substantive responsibility and active case management. This role offers hands-on experience across all phases of civil litigation and insurance defense litigation, including depositions, motion practice, court appearances, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey and in good standing
• 2–5 years of civil litigation experience or significant trial experience
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload while working collaboratively
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
