What You'll Do

As a Consumer Loan Officer, you'll play an important role in helping members navigate their borrowing needs while delivering an outstanding lending experience.

• Work directly with members to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate consumer lending solutions.
• Originate, process, evaluate, and decision consumer loan applications within established lending guidelines and authority.
• Review credit reports, income verification, and supporting documentation to make sound lending decisions.
• Help members understand loan products, interest rates, repayment terms, and available options.
• Build lasting member relationships through exceptional service, proactive communication, and follow-up.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional financial products and services that benefit our members.
• Maintain accurate loan documentation while following applicable regulations and credit union policies.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to create a positive, efficient lending experience.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• Strong sales abilities and a genuine interest in helping people.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to evaluate information and solve problems.
• Basic math skills and comfort working with financial information.
• Confidence using computers, technology, and digital banking systems.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork.

Experience That Will Help You Succeed:

• Previous consumer lending, banking, credit union, financial services, or sales experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with consumer loans, auto lending, credit analysis, or loan underwriting is a plus.
• Experience with Symitar/Episys is beneficial but not required.
