HVAC Controls Systems Engineer

Job Summary Design, configure, and operate building control systems for a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings. The role involves deploying Niagara Framework-based systems, integrating protocols such as BACnet and Modbus, and ensuring system performance. Responsibilities Design, configure, and operate building control systems including low voltage sub‑systems (lighting, nurse call, data networks) Develop complex software programs, commission, and troubleshoot building control systems Prepare detailed diagrams, flow charts, bills of materials, and equipment schedules Coordinate material procurement, factory mounting, and contractor training Provide as-built drawings, change information, and support field and customer communications Participate in value engineering and release meetings, ensuring cost‑effective solutions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years of experience Knowledge of construction/HVAC industry, control theory, and building automation systems Experience integrating low‑voltage building sub‑systems using industry protocols (LON, BACnet) Ability to communicate technical details to non‑technical audiences Advanced computer skills, especially drafting tools Compensation & Benefits Annual salary range: $68,000 – $93,000 USD.
