Job Summary An opportunity has arisen to join the M&A team at Repsol Renewables in Houston. The Analyst role supports senior investment professionals in transactions, business development and management reporting. The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Key Responsibilities and Duties Prepare analysis for acquisition/divestment of renewable energy projects based on project‑specific characteristics and assumptions. Collaborate in periodic portfolio valuation, updating analyses for latest assumptions and running sensitivity analysis. Assist in the preparation of investment committee presentations for new opportunities. Prepare due‑diligence questions for company management and external advisors and assist in the preparation of all internal and external due‑diligence reports. Support M&A data‑room management in investment/divestment processes. Analyze and compare investment opportunities using discounted cash flow and multiples‑based analyses. Review and assist in negotiation of investment legal documentation (NDAs, SPAs, SHAs, etc.). Liaise with external advisers and intermediaries to execute M&A projects. Conduct initial quantitative and qualitative appraisal of transactions to assess sector, country and deal feasibility. Research and analyze industry information, technical and financial data. Qualifications and Personal Attributes Academic background: Degrees in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance or similar. Experience: 1–3 years of M&A financial analysis, with demonstrable execution in Renewable Energy, Infrastructure or a relevant M&A department. Skills: Financial modelling expertise; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong analytical skills; attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. renewable market, project finance structures and processes (plus); experience in corporate finance/accountancy (desirable).
