Senior Benefits Administrator

Job Details Requisition ID: 295380 Relocation Authorized: None Telework Type: Part‑Time Telework Work Location: Glendale, AZ Job Summary The Sr. Benefits Administrator will be a part of People Operations North American’s Total Rewards team. This role will be responsible for administrative functions in support of Bechtel’s benefit programs, such as health, life, and optional benefit programs, ensuring consistency with plan documents and provisions. Executes project‑based work throughout the calendar year, including Open Enrollment and various internal audits. Other duties may include managing U.S. leave management activities in coordination with vendor and internal workflow. This position is designated as part‑time telework under Bechtel’s global policy and requires a minimum of three days per week in person at the assigned office or project. Weekly schedules will be determined in coordination with the supervisor and functional leadership. Major Responsibilities Advise employees on U.S. leave management program for FMLA, Paid Parental Leave, Paid Caregiver Leave, Medical, Military, and other leaves in compliance with federal and local laws. Monitor eligibility, enrollment into U.S. and International Assignee benefit plans. Resolve complex employee issues. Coordinate system changes with SAP change management team. Liaison with other HR functions, payroll, vendors/third‑party administrators, and service team. Assist with review and update of benefit materials and participate in various Open Enrollment and year‑end activities. Interpret ERISA, HIPAA and COBRA regulations. Education And Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years of experience or 5–6 years of relevant work experience. At least 1 year of customer service experience in an employee benefits related role. Required Knowledge And Skills Previous experience in a retirement and/or health and welfare administration role. Demonstrated knowledge of and prior experience working with HRIS systems, specifically SAP. Knowledge of ServiceNow case management software. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.). Detail‑oriented and strong data analytics skills. Possess service mindset and ability to build strong relationships. Ability to work with little supervision. Initiative‑taking, flexible, and adaptive to changing priorities. Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
