Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments across all stages of growth and development.
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care, demonstrating proficiency in clinical skills and emergency procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation, ensuring adherence to guidelines and HIPAA standards.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, fostering a cooperative environment within the patient care team.
• Ensure patient safety by following National Patient Safety Goals and utilizing safe transfer techniques.
• Provide individualized patient care, particularly for surgical patients, assessing reactions and understanding of procedures.
• Contribute to the perioperative team, prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes.
• Engage patients and families in educational activities, performing pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
• Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Current RN License.
• ACLS Certification – Required.
• BLS Certification – Required.
• NRP Certification – Required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree – Preferred.
