Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

Ballast Point Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager, to our Heavy Civil Construction Company to lead and oversee the infrastructure and civil construction projects from pre-construction through final completion. This position is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, safety compliance, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Budget & Financial Management - Pay will be based on experience

• Review and evaluate project estimates and finalize budgets.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Process change orders and manage project billings.
• Track and report financial progress throughout the project lifecycle.

Scheduling & Project Execution

• Develop and maintain baseline project schedules.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
• Monitor field operations and ensure critical milestones are achieved.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and delays.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, architects, municipalities, and project teams.
• Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Collaborate with field superintendents to identify and resolve site hazards.
• Maintain environmental and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.

Quality Control

• Document and review of daily reports and project activities.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and installations meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Manage project closeout activities, punch lists, and payments

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, civil engineering, construction management, or field supervision.
• Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure, utility, roadway, bridge, site development, or similar heavy civil projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to manage and forecast project timelines, project needs, and changes.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, financials, scheduling, and risk management.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy is highly desirable.
