Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Assisting in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
3. Managing treasury functions, ensuring adequate cash flow to meet the firm's operational needs.
4. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and coordinating with external auditors.
5. Providing leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
6. Overseeing trust accounting, maintaining the ledger, and ensuring accurate GL entries.
7. Assisting in the development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
8. Collaborating with management on the presentation of financial results and forecasts to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification like CPA is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a professional services firm.
3. Proficiency in financial statement preparation, year-end close, treasury management, financial reporting, and monthly reporting.
4. Extensive experience with ledger and GL management, month-end close processes, and journal entries.
5. Solid knowledge of tax compliance, audit procedures, and management principles.
6. Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with other financial software.
7. Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
8. Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-finance professionals.
