Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP Must-Have: - Experience in acute care high-risk labor and delivery - Familiarity with antepartum and maternal emergencies - Skills in active management of laboring patients, induction, and augmentation Description: The position requires a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The nurse will float between units as needed. Weekends are required with some weekend shifts. The expected patient ratios are Labor 1:2 and Antepartum 1:3. The candidate should be adept in managing high-risk cases, including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiples. The role involves providing support for laboring patients and assisting with deliveries. Candidates will be required to manage maternal emergencies and provide comprehensive care. The facility handles over 3,600 deliveries per year and is a Level II trauma facility. Patients include neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults. Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as required.
