Responsibilities

• Draw blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Prepare and process lab specimens for testing according to established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of draws and procedures.
• Create a professional and trusting environment for patients, communicating procedures clearly and confidently.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Perform duties independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating process excellence and confidentiality.
• Travel to different locations as needed to support multiple site coverage and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills with experience drawing from pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Strong focus on quality and error-free work in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally with patients, peers, and supervisors.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Experience working in a patient service center environment highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record if applicable.
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
• Must demonstrate superior customer focus and embrace change with a positive attitude.
