Project Manager – Digital Communications & Technical Documentation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to support agency projects, digital communications, technical documentation, and information governance. This role will coordinate cross-functional initiatives, develop digital content, maintain document repositories, and support federal compliance requirements for a Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS).

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects, timelines, resources, meetings, and communications across agency divisions.
Create digital and print materials, including presentations, infographics, websites, and social media content.
Develop technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and operational procedures.
Manage document repositories, version control, and file management standards using SharePoint, Smartsheet, and related tools.
Lead a statewide document-scanning initiative in coordination with an external vendor.
Prepare and maintain federal CCWIS documentation, including APDs and OAPDs, and support audits and compliance reviews.
Ensure digital content meets accessibility standards, including WCAG, and recommend improvements to user experience.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Services, Communications, English, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in communications, documentation, project coordination, or process improvement.
5–7 years of experience in graphic design, digital media, information systems, technology projects, UX design, or accessibility standards.
Strong writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, SharePoint, Teams, Smartsheet, Workfront, Confluence, Lucidchart, Google Workspace, and SAP Business Network.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with child welfare communications or technology systems.
Knowledge of CCWIS requirements, federal compliance documentation, and document management processes.
