You will lead a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians, enforce quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your role is pivotal in maintaining product excellence and compliance with industry regulations. The hours for this 3rd Shift role are 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM.Job ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures. Ensure that products and processes comply with company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.Inspection and Testing: Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of inspection results.Problem-Solving: Identify and analyze quality issues, root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality concerns.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and process effectiveness. Implement best practices and industry standards.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality issues.Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices.Training: Conduct training sessions for employees on quality procedures, standards, and best practices. Promote a quality-focused culture within the organization.Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesStrong leadership and team management skills.In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Proficient in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with quality inspection tools and software (e.g., statistical analysis software, ERP systems).Education & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ CQE) are a plus.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position. Experience in food production is preferred.Work EnvironmentExposure to both the office setting and food manufacturing facility.Significant amount of time working at a computer stationOccasional visits to various areas of the manufacturing floor Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas.Moving parts and machinery are present in the plant.Physical DemandsFrequent sitting, standing, or walking.Occasional ability to lift up to 50lbs.Ability to physically perform functions of repetitive motion, grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, balancing, and climbing.Noise levels will vary, higher noise levels exist while in the plant operations areas.
