GIS Analyst

HI, Hope you're doing well This is Pankaj from 4P Consulting please see below job description Job Title: GIS Analyst Location: Atlanta, GA (onsite) Contract: 24-Months The GIS Analyst will develop an understanding of current data state, workflows and processes and develop solutions for integrations, transformations and deliverables.This will include GIS data analysis, data mining, technical support and database maintenance to meet internal and external customers’ requirements .This role requires demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and recommend regarding the best track for data development and processing.Project work will involve process improvement, quality control, data creation from spatial and tabular sources, conversion, migration and maintenance. Required: · Experience with Esri geodatabase design, structure and management – including the manipulation of tabular data in GIS, and joining/linking related data · Intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational databases · Thorough understanding of Esri ArcGIS (including ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, ArcMap, ArcSDE and related products) · Knowledge of batch files and Python scripts to assist in repetitive daily activities · Ability to quickly learn new skills and abilities database technologies, data modeling, and scripting as needed Preferred: · Knowledge of publishing with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS, including data versioning, multiuser and replication · Experience with Natural Gas Utility and/or working with Enterprise databases and geometric networks · Experience using Esri Data Reviewer and Workflow Manager Extensions · Experience converting data between CAD and GIS · Experience incorporating non-spatial Enterprise databases with GIS to fulfill ad hoc analysis requests · Development using Python, FME and/or Esri ModelBuilder · Strong understanding of content and document management applications Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience. Specific Skills & Knowledge: Required: · Esri ArcGIS 10.2x – advanced proficiency · MS Office suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) – advanced proficiency · Esri ArcGIS Enterprise – intermediate proficiency · Geometric Network – intermediate proficiency · Model Builder – intermediate proficiency · Python – intermediate proficiency · SQL RDBMS – intermediate proficiency · AutoCAD/CADD – basic proficiency · Visual Basic/VBA – basic proficiency · SharePoint – basic proficiency · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Excellent geoprocessing and spatial analysis skills · Strong requirements review, analytical, and problem solving skills · Application testing script development and performance of testing · Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies · Ability to function independently and as a team member · Ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities · Ability to work effectively with limited direct supervision Preferred: · Schneider Electric ArcFM · Current GIS industry trends (remote sensing, GPS technology, etc.) – intermediate understanding · FME, Data Interoperability– intermediate proficiency · Utility Pipeline Data Model (UPDM)– basic understanding MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Specify major duties performed by the job and % of time spent on duties.
