Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer. As a Principal Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineer, you will lead RAM program activities, ensuring our products are safe, reliable, and maintainable while delivered on time. Embedded within the Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team, you will work across disciplines focused on product support, including Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability, supporting the entire product lifecycle—from conception to deactivation. Your role is pivotal in driving innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence to ensure mission-critical aerospace and defense systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.What You Will DoConducting Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including reliability predictions and maintainability predictionsPerforming Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analysesDefining/allocating RAM requirementsAssessing RAM performance: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF) & Operational Availability (Ao)Interpreting data and analyzing resultsEnsuring performance compliance to requirementsMaintaining complex Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and system modelsSupporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM workTracking Earned Value (EV) and providing accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM scopeQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.Experience in Reliability, Failure Analysis, and/or Quality Engineering.Qualifications We PreferExperience with Reliability Engineering Concepts including knowledge of reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA/FDFI, RBDs, MTBF/MTBCF, AoElectrical Engineering experience, Electrical Engineering degree/education preferredStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
