About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Center Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years of experience License: Required License Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM Must-Have: Experience with Labor & Delivery patients, GYN surgeries, antepartum and postpartum care Description: Level III Trauma Center with 64 beds. Unit has 8 LDRP/Antepartum beds. Census: Average patients per day will vary. Patient Ratios: Laboring patients are 1:1. Couplets/Antepartum/Surgical patients have a ratio of 1:3. Required skills include triage patient assessment and postpartum and newborn care. Charge RN will take patients as needed. Registered Nurses will draw blood. FHM available at bedside and nurse’s station, no telemetry. Resource RN support is provided. OB MD has a 30-minute call-back time. Technology includes EMR system and IV pumps. Floating may occur to inpatient units in a sitter or CNA role. Weekend rotation will be every other weekend. On-call schedule varies based on contract. Holiday requests can be approved up to 7 days. Scrub color is any color.
