Summary

Our client is an energy management company. We are seeking a Product Manager to manage a portfolio of 5–6 live AI products and drive internal AI delivery from intake and ideation through production. This role focuses on internal AI offers that improve operational efficiency and business value, with close partnership across data science, ML engineering, and business stakeholders.

General information

This engagement sits within a North America strategy team and focuses exclusively on internal AI products rather than external-facing offers. The environment is high-visibility and fast-paced, with established AI strategy and playbooks already in place to guide product decisions, experimentation, and gate reviews.

You will work across a broad internal stakeholder group spanning Finance, HR, GSC, Customer Experience, and Quality. The role requires regular in-person collaboration in the Franklin/Nashville area for 2–3 days per week.

Tasks and Deliverables

• Own a portfolio of 5–6 live internal AI products across intake, ideation, incubation, exploration, and production.
• Prioritize and deprioritize initiatives, with roughly 60% of time focused on tactical technical product decisions.
• Partner directly with data science and ML engineering teams to turn requirements into functional AI products.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for 23 stakeholders across Finance, HR, GSC, Customer Experience, and Quality.
• Gather data to define ROI drivers for each use case and move projects through internal gate reviews using the established AI playbook.
• Ensure product decisions remain aligned with the broader North America AI strategy, with roughly 10% of time dedicated to strategic alignment.

Required experience

• Proven product management experience within AI/ML environments.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent product lifecycles.
• Experience spanning short-term agentic AI or chatbot initiatives and deeper ML or data science products.
• Strong communication skills across diverse business and functional stakeholders.
• Experience validating assumptions and ROI drivers with finance and business leaders.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Positive, experimental mindset with comfort testing, learning, scaling, and pivoting quickly.
• Resilience in ambiguous environments where initiatives may stop based on value or feasibility.
