Strategic Sourcing Team Lead - Direct Hire (Onsite: Houston, TX)

The Strategic Sourcing Team Lead under broad direction, guides team through the strategic sourcing process to determine the optimum solution for internal customer needs based on market capabilities. Salary: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, depending on experience. Responsibilities: Responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives and a small sourcing team to deliver optimal supplier solutions, reduce total cost of ownership, and implement global sourcing strategies for complex projects. This role manages supplier negotiations, RF(x) processes, cost modeling, spend analysis, and sourcing programs exceeding $100M annually while driving value creation for the business. Analyzes, develops and leads the implementation of the global sourcing strategy for designated projects usually lasting for six to nine months. The team lead will be responsible for the reduction of Total Cost of Ownership without compromising business strategy. Spend sourced annually for this role will typically be complex in nature and comprise of 100+ million (US dollars). Manages data analysis, cost modeling, and RF(x) development on spend for designated projects; leads the team through processes to conduct internal needs analysis; determines optimum supplier solutions; selects strategic suppliers and negotiates agreements. Develops and executes implementation plans to ensure the successful implementation of sourcing strategy. Job role contributes directly to value creation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required, with SAP knowledge and engineering or technical education preferred. A certification as a Supply Chain Professional is preferred. Minimum of 5-8 years related experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, field operations and/or project management. Must have strong strategic sourcing experience, technical-commercial aptitude, leadership skills, and the ability to work with technical stakeholders. Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred.
