Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy in Juneau, AK. This key leadership role involves overseeing pharmacy operations to ensure safe, effective medication use and compliance with regulatory standards. The position offers a chance to impact patient care quality and operational efficiency within the pharmacy department.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all pharmacy department functions, including staffing, budgeting, and workflow optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance pharmacy services.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to support patient care initiatives.
- Monitor medication use and safety programs, ensuring best practices are upheld.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to pharmacy staff.
- Manage inventory and procurement processes to maintain adequate drug supplies.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist with experience as a Director of Pharmacy or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements, and healthcare standards.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
