Piano Technician I Posting Number: req26915 Department: School of Music Department Website Link: Location: Tucson Campus Address: Tucson, AZ USA Position Highlights The School of Music is looking for a Piano Technician to join us who will be responsible for maintaining and tuning the School's piano inventory under the supervision of the department head. Main duties include: Weekly maintenance of assigned classroom pianos including tuning, voicing, and action adjustments. Regular maintenance of practice room pianos including tuning, voicing, and action adjustments. Schedule tuning and maintenance of teaching studio pianos as directed by the department head. Maintenance of artist benches, string replacements, case repairs, action parts replacement, etc. Schedule action parts replacement and subsequent regulation and hammer voicing to provide the highest level of musical performance possible. Misc, repairs such as string replacement, case repair, artist bench maintenance, etc. Schedule action parts replacement and subsequent regulation and hammer voicing to provide the highest level of musical performance possible. Record all work performed in inventory database. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Basic knowledge of tuning, and minor action regulation necessary. Physical requirements: position involves sitting or standing in various ways to effectively work on the instruments.
