Maintenance Technician

Part-Time Maintenance TechnicianJohn Newcombe Country Club, located in New Braunfels, TX, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time (with the opportunity to become Full-Time) Maintenance Technician! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in racquet sports and community management.Starting Position Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Part-time Hours 7am-11:00am Mon- Friday, Weekends for events.Key Responsibilities:Facility Maintenance Perform general repairs, preventative maintenance, and daily walkthroughsComplete basic carpentry, painting, patching, and woodwork projectsAssist with minor plumbing, lighting, and electrical troubleshootingMaintain cleanliness, functionality, and safety of indoor spaces including gym, lobby, and locker roomsGrounds and Outdoor Areas Assist with landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, blowing, and debris removalRemove trash across the property and outdoor facilitiesMaintain pool deck, splash pad, playground, turf, and common areasPerform seasonal maintenance including power washing, staining, touch-ups, and weather preparationCourts (Tennis, Pickleball, Padel) Conduct daily court checks and sweepingOperate blower for leaf and debris removalPerform net adjustments, windscreen upkeep, and minor repairsAssist with special projects and resurfacing timelinesPool Maintenance Monitor chemical levels and equipmentPerform skimming, vacuuming, and backwashing to maintain water qualityConduct daily safety inspectionsVendor and Contractor Coordination Meet on-site vendors, oversee scopes of work, and communicate needsAssist with project preparation, punch lists, and follow-upsIdeal Candidate:Strong work ethic and attention to detailStrong communication skillsComfortable working outdoors year-roundAbility to lift 50+ lbs and operate maintenance equipmentExperience in facility, grounds, or general maintenance preferredPositive attitude and team-first mindsetReliable transportation and valid driver's licenseProperty Perks:Club membership perksSupportive work cultureBenefits & Other Compensation: This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms:Healthcare Benefits – Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageRetirement Benefits – 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older)Time Off – Paid time off (PTO) and leaves of absence, in accordance with applicable law and eligibility criteria Eligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company's discretion.
