Description Application deadline: Aug 27, 2026 Bespoke Solutions is seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Development Engineer to join our team building next-generation infrastructure solutions for Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC). ADC extends the full power of AWS cloud infrastructure to customers, countries, and organizations with the most stringent security, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements — including government, defense, and regulated industries. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your systems expertise and architectural decisions will directly shape the reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure operating at global scale. As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you will own the design, implementation, and operational excellence of the systems and automation platforms that power Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC). You'll lead complex infrastructure initiatives end-to-end — from ambiguous problem definition through architecture, build-out, and long-term operability. You'll partner closely with software engineers, security engineers, and product teams to translate demanding customer and compliance requirements into robust, automated, and scalable infrastructure solutions. You'll also serve as a technical anchor for your team: mentoring engineers, driving systems engineering best practices, and raising the bar on automation, reliability, and operational rigor. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. 10012 Key job responsibilities Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using CDK (TypeScript) and scripting, including configuration and management of cloud-based networking services and architectures Configure and maintain a logically isolated classified development environment within the AWS Secret Cloud region Monitor system health and perform routine patching and software updates across all hosted services Administer the GitLab repository, including user access, pipelines, and version control management Support physical lab connectivity, network switch configuration, KVM architecture, and developer workstations A day in the life Who You Are A challenger and motivator — You embrace hard problems and drive innovative automated solutions. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience Experience with automation and any version control tools, or experience in managing and troublshooting network and experience in Network protocols like DNS/DHCP/TCP 7 years’ experience with Linux and/or Windows Operating System support including in-depth understanding of one or both OSs, configuring, managing or troubleshooting systems at scale Experience with PowerShell scripting, database administration and client server applications Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications, or experience in web security and experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Knowledge of one or more of the following domains: access-control system and methodology, network security, application- and system-development security, security architecture and models, cryptography, and operations security Experience leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as DNS, BGP, IPSec and OSPF Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
