Forklift/Crane Operator

People Plus are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift/Crane Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and position materials safely and efficiently. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, equipment inspection procedures, and operational guidelines.

Pay: $15 per hour.

Shift: 2nd shift- starting at 4:30 pm-finish

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and related material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, transport, and position materials, equipment, and products within the facility or job site.
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts, cranes, and lifting equipment.
• Identify and report equipment defects, maintenance needs, or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.
• Verify load weights and ensure proper rigging, balancing, and secure lifting practices.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, spotters, and team members during lifting and transport operations.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and operational activities.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or outdoor environments and the ability to work at heights when required and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
