Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Surgery

The Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in the outpatient surgical setting, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preoperative and postoperative patient evaluation, education, and counseling , as well as coordinating multidisciplinary care and managing electronic health records. The RN must possess excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and strong organizational abilities , with a focus on patient education and seamless care transitions. Qualifications include a nursing degree from an accredited program and at least one year of RN experience, preferably in surgical or plastic surgery settings The role requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and proficiency in electronic medical records The RN may be involved in leadership activities, mentoring, and quality improvement efforts, working autonomously within a collaborative team environment.
