You bring structure, warmth, and instructional rigor in equal measure.In this full-time, 10-month position, you'll teach core subjects - including mathematics, language arts, and social studies - in a self-contained classroom for students in grades 1–5. You'll work with curricula including Singapore Math, Wilson Fundations, Fishtank ELA, and Inquiry Journeys, partner closely with specialist teachers and learning support staff, and maintain the kind of family communication that makes caregivers feel like partners, not observers. At Moravian Academy, an excellent lower school education is not preparation for something - it is something.What You BringBachelor's degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a closely related field; master's preferredDemonstrated experience teaching elementary-aged students in a classroom settingStrong understanding of child development and evidence-based elementary instructional practiceAbility to design and deliver differentiated instruction for diverse learnersSkill in building a structured, caring, and motivating classroom communityFamiliarity with Singapore Math, Wilson Fundations, Fishtank ELA, or Inquiry Journeys preferredFamiliarity with Google Workspace for Education preferredExperience in an independent school or college-preparatory setting preferredSuccessful completion of required Pennsylvania background clearances (Act 34, Act 151, Act 114) prior to start of employmentIf this is the kind of teaching you do, we'd be glad to hear from you.
