Summary Arriba Abajo is a cantina-themed bar and restaurant inside the Thompson and Tommie Austin hotels in downtown Austin. This new concept opens in early Spring and includes 17,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining, lounge space, private event venues, and a pool deck for hotel guests and residents. The Arriba Abajo host is responsible for welcoming guests and creating a positive first impression. Hosts influence the overall restaurant experience through interactions such as providing table accommodations, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Prior experience as a restaurant greeter or hostess is valuable for this role. The Hotels Thompson Austin features 212 luxury guestrooms and suites, 17 residences, a 10,000‑square‑foot wellness center, three restaurant and bar concepts, an expansive pool deck, private cabanas, and over 10,000 square feet of flexible event space. Tommie Austin offers a unique experience with a bespoke coffee and wine shop, and encourages guests to explore local attractions. Both hotels include a cantina-themed restaurant, a street‑side diner, and a residential tower. Additional amenities include a 10,000‑square‑foot retail area and a 7,000‑square‑foot fitness center.
