Job Description
Long Term Care Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Varied shift scheduling of 8-hour shifts: Days 0730 - 1530, Evenings 1500 - 2330, and Nights 2300 - 0730, including weekends and holidays. Overtime rotation may be required.

Job Description

The Long Term Care Nurse will work in a Long Term Care Facility on-site at a hospital, performing a wide range of nursing duties.

Responsibilities

• Assessments and treatment administration
• Medication administration
• Notification to MD/NP of pertinent information
• Admitting and discharging patients
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Gastrostomy tube care
• Urinary catheter care
• Nebulizer treatments
• Wound vac care
• CPAP care
• Other assigned duties as required

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidate must possess an active Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment. Travelers not currently in possession of a Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of the offer.
