This position emphasizes safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest service, ensuring every passenger has a positive and secure travel experience.Position ResponsibilitiesResponsible for safely operating and maintaining school bus and transportation vehicles while delivering outstanding guest serviceConduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and accurately complete trip reports as required Engage regularly with students, guests, and visitors in a professional and courteous mannerServe as a positive role model, promoting a safe, respectful, and welcoming environmentFollow established policies related to student discipline, vehicle safety, and emergency proceduresMaintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal DOT regulationsComplete required documentation, including Vehicle Inspection Reports and driver logs, with accuracy and timelinessOperate communication and navigation equipment such as cell phones, two-way radios, and GPS devices effectivelyMaintain vehicle cleanliness, including routine interior and exterior cleaning and vacuumingDemonstrate flexibility in operating various vehicles, including vans, trams, and buses, as neededReport and document any incidents, concerns, or irregularities during transportationAdhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulationsFollow all company policies, procedures, and ethical standardsPerform additional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and AbilityAbility to safely operate a range of vehicles, including vans, trams, and busesAbility to read and interpret road signs and safety information in EnglishStrong understanding of and compliance with State and Federal DOT regulationsEffective communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenAbility to build and maintain professional, positive relationships with students, parents, guests, and colleaguesCPR and First Aid certification is a plusDemonstrated strong work ethic and reliabilityExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsCollaborative mindset with a willingness to support team successStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesPrevious experience in commercial, school bus, or shuttle driving preferredRequiredValid CDL driver's license with passenger endorsementDriving record that meets company standardsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes weighing over 40 lbsComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periodsAbility to move throughout campus environments, including gyms, turf, and fieldsWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysBackground Requirements:Requires a background check upon offerRequires a drug test upon offerThis position requires a Florida Level 2 Background Screening.
