Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our senior leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, reporting, treasury management, internal controls, and team leadership. The Director of Finance will play a critical role in guiding organizational growth, supporting executive decision-making, and ensuring financial integrity in accordance with US GAAP.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical finance and accounting expertise with the ability to partner cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

* Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes

* Develop long-range financial plans, including scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses

* Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations related to pricing, cost optimization, and investment opportunities

* Deliver clear and actionable financial reporting and presentations to executive leadership and board stakeholders

* Support strategic decision-making through ongoing financial and operational analysis

Financial Reporting & Compliance

* Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP

* Oversee multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting activities

* Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and insurance partners

* Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks

* Support ad hoc financial reporting and executive requests as needed

Treasury & Cash Management

* Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization

* Manage banking relationships and treasury operations

* Monitor cash conversion cycles and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency

* Oversee debt management, funding strategies, and investment of excess cash

* Assess and mitigate liquidity and financial risk

Inventory & Cost Management

* Oversee inventory costing, landed cost systems, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy processes

* Provide technical financial analysis across products, divisions, and operational functions

* Support operational leaders with margin analysis and cost improvement initiatives

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

* Serve as a trusted business partner to executive leadership and department leaders

* Support cross-functional initiatives with ROI analysis and project-based financial guidance

* Manage additional finance and administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required

* MBA, CPA, or CFA designation strongly preferred

Experience

* 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related disciplines

* Prior experience in a director-level or senior finance leadership role preferred

* Experience within manufacturing, distribution, or global trade environments is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

* Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance

* Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and cash management

* Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities

* Proven ability to translate complex financial information into practical business recommendations

* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

* Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, advanced Excel, and financial modeling
