Open Enrollment Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Open Enrollment Specialist to support our benefits team during the annual open enrollment period. This is a short-term contract opportunity from mid-October to early-November. An ideal opportunity for someone with prior HR, benefits, or customer service experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit options, enrollment processes, and deadlines
• Provide accurate and timely responses to benefit-related inquiries via phone, email, and chat
• Assist employees with navigating enrollment systems and troubleshooting issues
• Review and verify enrollment data for accuracy and completeness
• Support the administration of health, dental, vision, retirement, and voluntary benefits
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times
• Help create or distribute open enrollment communications and materials

Qualifications

• Licensed in Health & Life in home state required
• Previous experience in HR, benefits administration, or customer service preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Comfortable working with HRIS systems and benefits platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines during peak periods

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience supporting open enrollment cycles
• Familiarity with employee benefits (medical plans, FSA/HSA, 401(k), etc.)
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes

Schedule Expectations

• Availability during standard business hours, with potential for overtime during peak enrollment deadlines
