Join our Pharmacy Team and provide expert support, ensure accuracy and make every patient interaction a positive experience.Position Summary: The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while delivering exceptional patient care in a retail pharmacy setting. This role is responsible for managing pharmacy staff; this role provides prescription verification, medication counseling, immunization services, and support for health and wellness initiatives. The Pharmacist works closely with pharmacy technicians, store leadership, and healthcare providers to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, uphold company standards, and promote positive customer experience.Key responsibilities include interpreting and verifying prescriptions, preventing drug interactions, overseeing pharmacy workflow, resolving insurance issues, and resolving customer and patient concerns. Ensuring all pharmacy associates provide best in class customer service and healthcare, managing controllables to improve P&L performance, inventory management, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate records. The Pharmacist also engages in patient education, medication therapy management, and supports and grows vaccination and clinical service programs both inside the store and out in the community.Success in this role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.What You Will Do:Grow Our People: We care deeply about people, enjoy diversity and develop talent to get the best out of all of usObsess Over Customers: We delight our customers with innovative products and experiences that support a healthier future for people and planetWin Together: We collaborate across boundaries to deliver on our strategy and purposeRegulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensures adherence to federal and state pharmacy laws, HIPAA, OSHA, and DEA regulations; Maintains pharmacy licensing, audits, documentation, and controlled substance protocolsStaff Leadership & Development: Coaches, trains, and evaluates pharmacists, technicians, and support staff; Promotes teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment; Delegates effectively and manages schedules, roles, and workload distributionOperational Excellence & Workflow Management: Oversees daily pharmacy operations, prescription fulfillment, and quality controls; Optimizes processes for efficiency, accuracy, and service levels; Troubleshoots operational issues and implements continuous improvementsInventory & Financial Management: Manages ordering, stock levels, shrink control, and waste reduction; Monitors budgets, reimbursement processes, and cost-saving initiatives; Ensures formulary compliance and proper handling of high-cost medicationsPatient Care & Customer Service: Provides expert counseling, MTM services, and immunization support; Handles escalations and ensures high levels of patient satisfaction; Builds strong relationships with patients and healthcare providersWhat You Will Bring:Bachelors of science in pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institutionActive, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employmentImmunization certification (e.g., APhA or state-recognized equivalent)Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification where applicable2-5+ years of retail pharmacy experience (preferred)Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist-in-Charge, or Lead PharmacistProven experience supervising pharmacists, technicians, and support staffKnowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and controlled substance lawsExperience in inventory management, budgeting, and workflow optimizationFamiliarity with third-party insurance processing and reimbursement practicesSalary range is between $101,920.00 - $127,400.00
